What to expect

  1. Inn at Mystic

    10 min

Join us at the Inn of Mystic as we begin our journey in the heart of our community overlooking the Mystic River and learn of the Gilded Age and beyond!

  2. Mystic

    15 min

We visit one of the founding families of New England and Mystic with roots dating to the early 1600's -- meet pioneers, soldiers, heroes and more as we visit the graves of folks who lived through every century in early America

  3. Latham-Chester Store

    15 min

Visit the plaque commemorating the site of Flight Pioneer, Amelia Earhart's wedding to George Putnam. We will discuss her life, her wedding and of course her trans-Atlantic flight that turned into one of America's greatest unsolved mysteries

  4. Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park

    20 min

Join us in the American Revolution as we walk in the footsteps of Benedict Arnold's troops as they attack our region in 1783, hear the story of martyred Col. Ledyard and the heroic local defense. The landscape now is haunted by the ghosts of several soldiers and the sounds of battle.

  5. Mother Bailey House, 1782

    20 min

The Mother of Groton, Heroine of the American Revolution and Rebel Woman herself has quite a story to tell -- and her ghost is often seen in the windows of her ancient abode....hear the story of Anna Warner Bailey

  6. Whitehall Mansion inn

    20 min

The colonial home of a notable family the Woodbridges, stands tall -- a doctor and minister who raised some of the first university educated women in the country, who was a town entrepreneur and left a legacy of love. We hear his tale as well that of his wife who became a grieving mother and their dear son, Benjamin...plus a founding father of America makes his way into this tale.

  7. Pequot Woods

    15 min

We journey in time to the indigenous people of the region as we hear of the Pequot tribe and visit their land...and learn of what happened to them at the turn of the 17th century when there was one of the first massacres to ever take place in North America on this hallowed ground. Their legend and spirit remains.

  8. Mystic and Noank Library

    15 min

The seafaring Spicer family built a beautiful summer home across from a plot of land that they would donate to the town for the building of a Library in their memory -- the tale of this sea captain's family is filled with love and tragedy and definitely has left a spirit or too lurking at the old abode and among the libraries bookshelves

  9. Haley Mansion

    45 min

The grandest home in all of Mystic sits atop a hill looking over the town -- built by an indomitable woman, the house later passed on to an advertising executive who hosted notables such as Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart on their Mystic honeymoon. A subsequent suicide haunted the legacy and beautiful manor home will host us for wine, appetizers and ghost hunting time to see what spirits are left behind in the Haley Mansion experience.
